- NKBA Certification is the gold standard in the kitchen and bath industry. The NKBA offers three levels of certification; Associate Kitchen and Bath Designer (AKBD), Certified Kitchen Designer (CKD), Certified Bath Designer (CBD), and Certified Master Kitchen and Bath Designer (CMKBD). These certifications are gained by displaying industry knowledge and experience as well as passing proctored examinations.
Consumer Outreach
- The NKBA offers a free Kitchen and Bath Consumer Workbook
- The Association serves as a content advisor and information source for magazines, newspapers, radio shows and television programs
Design Competition
- Annual contest with submissions of actual projects from NKBA members
- Source for photos and design trends (as can be viewed on the included CDs)
- Received 579 entries for the 2008 competition
