Care of the environment is for us one of the most relevant aspects when designing new products and services. Among other advantages, we want our appliances to stand out for the contribution they make in protecting the environment during their lifespan.

How do we achieve this?

Our manufacturing partners ensure environmentally-appropriate working conditions, minimizing and/or eliminating the handling of hazardous materials. For the consumer, the end-user of our products and services, it allows for efficient use of the appliance, which reduces energy consumption. Consequently, we also require that all of our suppliers have environmental management systems established that meet our standards for business partnerships.

Certifications

Diva induction cooktops are specified to support certification under the LEEDS Certification Process and while cooking appliances are not considered eligible for the Energy Star program; our cooktops far exceed the 10% requirement of the program by almost 30%. In fact, Diva Induction cooktops are over 30% more energy efficient than electric cooktops and 40% more energy efficient than gas cooktops.

Induction is a unique cooking technology using energy not heat. This process creates an incredibly efficient technology that is more powerful and precise than any other cooking technology on the planet. The energy created by the induction coil doesn't heat up the cooktop surface, only the pot or pan can accept the energy thereby becoming the heat source. The induction coil is over 90% efficient, when compared to a gas flame which is typically rated at 50% or an electric element which is rated at 60%, truly making a difference is both cooking results and energy consumption.

Finally, Diva induction cooktops also contain several features which add to its energy efficiency and are designed with Auto Shut-Off and Pan Sensor Recognition which ensures that the cooktop is on when it needs to be and not wasting power or creating dangerous cooking situations.
