What is the best way to find a job in the K&B industry?
"The most effective way to find employment with a professional kitchen and bath company is by contacting the NKBA and inquiring about employment opportunities in your area. Be sure to have a resume, references, and a portfolio of past work with pictures." William Stewart, CKBI
Why are you an NKBA member?
"Being a member of the NKBA gives me tremendous opportunities for professional growth by taking advantage of all the educational and certification programs. Also, membership assures my clients and suppliers that our firm adheres to ethical business practices and a professional code of conduct." William Stewart, CKBI
What are the advantages of being an NKBA Certified Kitchen/Bath Installer?
"Being a Certified Kitchen and Bath Installer (CKBI) and an NKBA member sets me apart from the pack and assures possible employers and clients alike that they are dealing with a professional, quality kitchen and bath remodeler." William Stewart, CKBI
How did you choose your college?
"The NKBA Endorsed Program at Lakeland College was an easy choice for me. I had researched other interior design schools and found Lakeland College to be one of the best with its highly educated staff and endorsement from both NKBA and FIDER." Becky Fischer
What were the advantages of attending an NKBA Endorsed Program?
"The NKBA Endorsed Program offered computer training in both AutoCad and kitchen/bathroom software giving me the edge I needed to enter the high-tech design field. The specific kitchen and bath training I received introduced and prepared me for the job. With the additional design training I obtained, I am able to excel and meet all of my clients needs." Becky Fischer
What do you like best about your job as the Design and Sales Consultant?
"I am presently working with two home builders here in Ottawa as the project manager. I meet with their clients, help them make their selections and order the kitchen for their new home. My job also requires regular visits to sites where jobs are being installed to assist the installer with any questions that arise. Having a combination of retail and contractor business allows for a great mix. I've been working here for Kitchen Craft Cabinetry for over a year now and really love it." Becky Fischer
