Research Tools

Surveys:

Did you know that the NKBA conducts salary surveys and publishes statistics on construction and remodeling? The NKBA's research section has all of this and more. Click here for all of your research needs. Don't forget to also consult Profiles, the Association's quarterly magazine, for additional research topics, or visit your school library for a copy of the Journal of the Housing Education and Research Association, entitled Housing and Society, Special Issue Trends in Kitchen and Bath Design Research, Volume 32 No. 2, 2005.

NKBA Planning Guidelines:

The NKBA Kitchen & Bath Planning Guidelines with Access Standards is a collection of illustrations and planning suggestions to aid professionals in the safe and effective planning of kitchens and bathrooms. As novice designers, it is important to know these guidelines when designing kitchens and baths, as well as while studying for the certification exam. They can be viewed and ordered by clicking here.
